SINGAPORE: Singapore fencer Kevin Jerrold Chan on Thursday (Jun 4) took home the bronze medal for SEA Games after losing to Thailand in the men's individual foil event. 

Thailand's Panchan Nontapat defeated Chan 15-6 in the men's individual foil semifinals at the OCBC Arena in Singapore.

Panchan will face Vietnam's Nguyen Minh Quang in the finals later on Thursday

Singapore's Rahardja Rania Herlina and Ywen Lau also took home a bronze medal each in their respective categories.

Rahardja was defeated 15-10 by the Philippines' Raguin Harlene during the women's individual epee semifinal. Lau ended her women's individual sabre campaign with a 15-13 loss to Thailand's Starrat Sirawalai in the

 semifinal.
